A: ¿Pero cuándo me entregarán las maletas?

A: ¿Está segura que en 48 horas? 
Are you certain, in 48 hours? 
B: No le puedo asegurar nada por el momento, hasta que no localicemos sus maletas. 

B1 - Going on Vacation

A: ¡Hola! ¿Qué novedades me tienes? 
Hi! What’s new with you? 
B: Estoy muy ocupada porque me voy de vaca¬ ciones y tendría que haber sacado el pasaporte la semana pasada y lo olvidé. 
Fm very busy because Fm going on vacation and I was sup- posed to have gotten my passport last week, and I forgot it. 
A: Pero bueno, te vas de vacaciones, así que no te puedes quejar. 
But, great, you’re going on vacation so you can’t complain. 
B: No me quejo, pero más tarde tengo que tramitar el pasaporte y después regresar a la casa a ter¬ minar de empacar. 
Fm not complaining, but later I have to have my passport processed and afterward go back home and finish packing. 
A: ¿Y adonde te vas? 
And where are you off to? 
B: Me voy a Puerto Rico. ¿Has ido? 
Fm off to Puerto Rico. Have you been? 

B1 - Hit the Jackpot

A: Oye, una pregunta: ¿qué harías tú si te sacaras el gordo y te premiaran con $20.000.000? 
Question: What would you do if you hit the big one and you won $20,000,000? 
B: Guao, ¿qué haría... ? Pues compraría una casa... una parte la invertiría... y vería cómo ayudar a alguna organización... 
Wow, what would I do... ? Well, I would buy a house... invest part of it... and I would see how I could help some charity... 
A: Ya mí, ¿no me regalarías nada? 
What about me? You wouldn’t give me anything? 
B: ¡Te invitaría a cenar o a un viaje, todo pagado! ¿Por qué? ¿Quién se sacó la lotería? 
I would invite you to dinner, or on a trip, all expenses paid! Why? Who won the lottery? 
A: Nadie, estoy nada más soñando. 
Nobody, I’m just daydreaming. 
B: Bueno, ¿tú qué harías?
